Blimey, what a morning! I hit the ground running as soon as I got in with a factory tour for important French customers, then straight into IT meetings after that. Just finished in time for me to get a lat lunch now ( 1.50).
At 2.30. I am leaving to go to Carlisle where I am a finalist in the Business awards for the area. I submitted an environmental entry, in which I talked about all the things we’ve done here, like use collected rainwater to flush the toilets; collect all our wood shavings and burning them to heat the building; waste segregation; etc, etc…
So we got to the final and now I’m about to set off for a ‘black tie’ dinner, which means I have to dress up. NOw, those of you who may know me, will know that I am not a ‘dress’ sort of person. So it’s going to be an effort. The only consolation is that we are staying over in Carlisle, so I can have a few drinks.
Wish me luck!
I think I’ve left it too late to wish you good luck, but no worry, it seems you’ve won an award. So I will wish you “well done” (if that’s grammaticaly possible – I think I may have mangled a tense there, but nevermind) š
